We use natural soy wax sourced from European suppliers. Soy wax is derived from soybean oil and offers several advantages for candle making.
Properties: Clean-burning, good fragrance retention, natural and renewable source material.
Melting Point: Approximately 49-52°C (120-125°F)
Usage: Primary wax for most container candles and some pillar candles.
Beeswax
Traditional beeswax is used in select collections. We source from local beekeepers when available, supporting sustainable beekeeping practices.
Properties: Natural honey scent, long burn time, air-purifying qualities when burned.
Melting Point: Approximately 62-65°C (144-149°F)
Usage: Limited edition collections and specialty candles.
Cotton Wicks
Unbleached cotton wicks in various sizes. Wick selection is critical for proper candle performance and burn characteristics.
Types: Flat braided, square braided, and round braided wicks available in multiple sizes.
Sizing: Wicks are matched to candle diameter and wax type to ensure proper flame size and complete wax consumption.
Usage: All candles use cotton wicks sized appropriately for the specific candle dimensions.
Fragrance Oils
High-quality fragrance oils and essential oils selected for their stability, scent characteristics, and compatibility with natural waxes.
Types: Synthetic fragrance oils and natural essential oils, used individually or in blends.
Concentration: Typically 6-8% fragrance load by weight, adjusted based on scent type and desired intensity.
Selection: Fragrances are tested for performance, stability, and scent throw before use in production.
Essential Oils
Natural essential oils used in specific collections and for customers who prefer natural fragrances.
Sources: Sourced from reputable suppliers, ensuring quality and purity.
Usage: Used in limited quantities due to cost and volatility, often blended with fragrance oils.
Notes: Essential oils may have different performance characteristics compared to fragrance oils.
Ceramic Vessels
Hand-thrown ceramic containers sourced from European artisans. Each vessel is selected for its aesthetic qualities and functional compatibility.
