Soy Wax

We use natural soy wax sourced from European suppliers. Soy wax is derived from soybean oil and offers several advantages for candle making.

Properties: Clean-burning, good fragrance retention, natural and renewable source material.

Melting Point: Approximately 49-52°C (120-125°F)

Usage: Primary wax for most container candles and some pillar candles.

Beeswax

Traditional beeswax is used in select collections. We source from local beekeepers when available, supporting sustainable beekeeping practices.

Properties: Natural honey scent, long burn time, air-purifying qualities when burned.

Melting Point: Approximately 62-65°C (144-149°F)

Usage: Limited edition collections and specialty candles.

Cotton Wicks

Unbleached cotton wicks in various sizes. Wick selection is critical for proper candle performance and burn characteristics.

Types: Flat braided, square braided, and round braided wicks available in multiple sizes.

Sizing: Wicks are matched to candle diameter and wax type to ensure proper flame size and complete wax consumption.

Usage: All candles use cotton wicks sized appropriately for the specific candle dimensions.

Fragrance Oils

High-quality fragrance oils and essential oils selected for their stability, scent characteristics, and compatibility with natural waxes.

Types: Synthetic fragrance oils and natural essential oils, used individually or in blends.

Concentration: Typically 6-8% fragrance load by weight, adjusted based on scent type and desired intensity.

Selection: Fragrances are tested for performance, stability, and scent throw before use in production.

Essential Oils

Natural essential oils used in specific collections and for customers who prefer natural fragrances.

Sources: Sourced from reputable suppliers, ensuring quality and purity.

Usage: Used in limited quantities due to cost and volatility, often blended with fragrance oils.

Notes: Essential oils may have different performance characteristics compared to fragrance oils.

Ceramic Vessels

Hand-thrown ceramic containers sourced from European artisans. Each vessel is selected for its aesthetic qualities and functional compatibility.

Characteristics: Various glazes and finishes, typically 8-12cm height, 8-12cm diameter.

Selection: Vessels are chosen for heat resistance, aesthetic appeal, and compatibility with candle dimensions.

Usage: Primary container type for artisanal collections.

Glass Containers

Clear and frosted glass vessels in various sizes. Glass allows for visual appreciation of wax color and texture.

Types: Clear glass for displaying colored wax, frosted glass for diffused appearance.

Sizes: Various diameters and heights to accommodate different candle sizes.

Usage: Standard container candles and some limited collections.

Stoneware Containers

Durable stoneware vessels with matte finishes. Stoneware offers excellent heat resistance and aesthetic appeal.

Characteristics: Matte glazes, neutral color palette, various sizes.

Usage: Limited edition collections and specialty candles.

Melting Equipment

Double-boiler systems and temperature-controlled melting pots for safe and precise wax preparation.

Types: Electric melting pots with temperature controls, traditional double-boiler setups.

Capacity: Various sizes to accommodate different batch quantities.

Safety: All equipment includes temperature monitoring and safety features.

Measuring Tools

Precise scales and measuring devices for accurate wax and fragrance quantities.

Types: Digital scales with gram precision, graduated measuring containers.

Usage: Essential for consistent candle production and proper fragrance ratios.

Pouring Tools

Specialized pouring pitchers and funnels designed for candle making, allowing controlled and precise pouring.

Types: Heat-resistant pouring pitchers, narrow-spout funnels for precise placement.

Usage: Ensures even distribution and prevents spills during the pouring process.

Wick Tools

Wick centering devices, wick bars, and adhesive tabs for proper wick placement and securing.

Types: Wick centering tools, metal wick bars, wick stickers and tabs.

Usage: Ensures wicks are properly centered and secured before and during pouring.
